WinPulse is a miniature web based PHP script that is able to identify the most up-to-date viruses in any file extension or website. It simply scans a file by using a cPanel based software program called ClamAV. Once you scan a file or website, the data will be sent to ClamAV which will scan the data and print out the results.
I came up with the idea when I was on vacation in Canada. I was talking with a friend on MSN and he was complaining how it was always a pain scanning a single file with a virus scanner because it always took forever or lagged your computer. When he said that a show a vision in front of my eyes and I started coding. When it was done for the dog food test I had to design a simple design but it had to stand out. I decided to go with a red on grey/black color since the color red symbolizes the emotion dangerous. Red also is very highly visible and stimulates people to make quick decisions. I decided to make the background light grey with 40 degree thick dark grey lines. Then I made a wrapper around the whole page and gave the wrapper a value, "opacity: 80%" making the dark scales come though the red.
